    Homemade Pop Tarts - These only contain whole wheat flour, butter, water, eggs, and jam. Normal poptarts contain white flour, cracker meal, wheat starch, salt, dried strawberries, dried pears, dried apples, leavening, citric acid, cornstarch, caramel color, soy lecithin, xanthan gum, modified wheat start, vitamin a palmitate, red #40, yellow #6, niacinamide, reduced iron, pyridoxine hydrocholoride, riboflavin, thiamin hydrocholoride, and folic acid. Hurts just to type that many ingredients!

Real Food Muffins: Make them what you want: blueberry, strawberry, jelly, etc. -Definitely not ones I would make for Joshua. The kids will EAT these up though! With blueberries or strawberries, they are GONE.

pop tarts, cooling by smitten, not the healthiest start to the day but fills the void of not having what there friends are eating. I do see myself swaping all purpose flour for whole wheat and adding In some chia seed " gel" to the dough to not only boost nutrtion content but also cut down slightly on butter. Oh and you can freeze them and reheat to eat on the run.
