9. Alaska would be a marvelous place to travel too, since I already live in a hot climate, I want to visit a cooler area... or at least less humid!

Alaska. THIS is actually what I've always been dreaming. Reading good books at a cabin in the woods with the cool weather and breezy wind. Accompanied with a cup of tea / coffee plus good music. :') My pure paradise. ♥

Although totem poles have become a symbol of all Northwest Coast Native people and their use has spread to neighboring tribes through the years, tall multiple-figure poles were first made only by the northern Northwest Coast Haida, Tlingit, and Tsimshian peoples in Southeast Alaska and British Columbia.

I feel like the lower set of mountains is how high ours get in California. I really need to move.

Whale watching in Alaska. This isn't my pic, but it reminds me how awesome it was to see the whales. If you are in Alaska..take a boat and you won't be disappointed. So amazing

Alaska - lived, worked, fished, skied, back country back pack, road trip, plane trip, hung out with homestead cabin folks, painted, admired and was overwhelmed, injured and healed by this state. Spent time in Bristol Bay, Naknek, Kuparak, Anchorage, Talkeetna, Homer etc. in every season - a place where dumb people don't last very long, unless they are commuting in from Texas. ;)
