Unbelievable....Austria's Green Lake in the Hochschwab Mountains is a hiking trail in the winter. The snow melts in early summer and creates a completely clear lake. The lake has a grassy bottom, complete with underwater trails, park benches, and bridges. So cool!

Unbelievable.. Austria's Green Lake in the Hochschwab Mountains is a hiking trail in the winter. However, when the snow quickly melts in early summer it creates a completely clear lake. The lake has a grassy bottom, complete with underwater trails, park benches, and bridges to explore! must-see-places

Green Lake, Austria Located at the foot of the Hochschwab Mountains, in Tragoess, Styria. A rare natural phenomenon turns one of Austria’s most beautiful hiking trails into a 10 meter-deep lake, for half the year. During the cold winter months, this place is almost completely dry, & used as a country park. But as soon as temperatures rise, the snow and ice covering the mountaintops begin to melt, & the water pours down, filling the basin below with crystal-clear water.

Green Lake in Tragoess, Austria, doubles as a park and a lake bed. In the winter, it’s a park, complete with hiking trails and park benches. When the ice and snow on the mountains melt during the summer, the lake fills up. All the trees, trails, and benches are still there, but you need scuba gear to see them.

Must re-create this photo on top of a mountain somewhere
