Aeolus is designed to play a sweet sound every time the wind blows, because it’s made out of 310 polished steel tubes attached to an arch that helps channel the breeze into nature’s melody. Aeolus was made by artist Luke Jerram, who wanted to provide “both acoustic and optical sensations, with the pipes framing, inverting and magnifying the landscape” Aeolus is on display at the Canary Wharf in London until May 10th

Made of vinyl and touring different cities, The Red Ball Project is a project conceived by artist Kurt Perschke. “Through the magnetic, playful, and charismatic nature of the Red Ball, the work is able to access the imagination embedded in all of us,” states the artist.  A few American cities have had the pleasure of hosting the large red ball as well as international cities  such as Taipai, Sydney, Aru Dhabi, and Barcelona.

More than halfway through art school, Motoi Yamamoto's sister succumbed to brain cancer. The resulting grief prompted him to abandon his work in traditional painting in search of something more fundamental. Because salt is a funerary material in Japanese culture meant to help cleanse one of grief, it was a natural choice for the artist. Yamamoto uses salt in either loose form to create intricate labyrinth patterns on gallery floors or in baked brick form to construct large interior structures.

The tradition began three years ago as part of the local Agitagueda Art Festival that happens in Águeda each July. The photograph was taken by Fanfare Ciocărlia, a popular twelve-piece Balkan Brass Band that performed at a recent concert in the city.
