Donna Harrison lives at a Southtown apartment in the King William area. Harrison downsized from a large house to a small open-spaced apartment. She decorated her new apartment with several Asian pieces as well as many other pieces of artwork. Up a short flight of stairs is the bedroom which is adorned by a pair of Japanese chests on either side of the bed. Also present is a Tibetan chest at the foot of the bed and an Indian chest off near the sliding doors which lead out to a patio.

The Grand Palais at 133-139 Commercial Road had opened in 1911 as the King’s and Queen’s Halls and became a Yiddish Theatre in 1926 and remained in use until 1961. Following this, it became an Indian cinema and then a Bingo Hall and finally closed in 1970. Although the building is still present as a fashion house, only the original ornamental hood above the old door frame remains of the Theatre.
The Art Museum The Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum, formerly the King George VI Art Gallery, was opened on 22 June 1956 and renamed in December 2002. The collections are housed in two buildings framing the entrance to St George's Park and consist of South African art (particularly that of the Eastern Cape), British art, international printmaking and Oriental art (including Indian miniatures and Chinese textiles).
