I know it is a bit against the teachings to love anything to much , but I can't help to fall in love with Buddha's quotes of enlightenment and living a balanced life . I know I'm not a perfect person but I believe as long as take in and follow some of his teachings I may be closer to the part of enlightenment .

We have this on a post card, we love handing it out to adults in our office.

"Lovingkindness towards ourselves doesn't mean getting rid of anything. It means we can still be crazy after all these years. We can still be angry after all these years. We can still be timid or jealous or full of feelings of unworthiness. The point is not to try to throw ourselves away and become something better. It's about befriending who we are already." - Pema Chodron

"In the end, only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you." -Buddha-

I'm sorry to hear both of those things. Why have you decided to be agnostic?

Technically I am Catholic/Christian. The bible teaches "three things remain faith, hope, and love. The greatest of these is love. " Judgement is for Jesus when the time comes until then he asked that we love everything and everyone which I believe does include gracefully letting go of things not meant for you.

God's word is our standard to uphold. Christians are misunderstood as judgemental when we do that. God is love, but it's our job to tell others about the wrath to come, to bring them into salvation. The kingdom of God is yet to come, and He wants all to be a part of that kingdom. Jesus is the only way.

Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV~" For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Buddhism is not a religion, it's a philosophy for how to live in the present. Through kindness and compassion.

Meditatie - Meditation / Yoga: Even dat momentje voor en met jezelf! ~Boeddha~

“After meditating for some years, I began to see the patterns of my own behavior. As you quiet your mind, you begin to see the nature of your own resistance more clearly, struggles, inner dialogues, the way in which you procrastinate and develop passive resistance against life. As you cultivate the witness, things change. You don’t have to change them. Things just change.” — Ram Dass

Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you. ~ Lao Tzu

I hope when i forgot... you are still there to remind of.... and hope that our friendship will not go into waste and together we sing a nostalgic song that will never end.

A man asked Lord Buddha "I want Happiness" Lord Buddha said "First remove 'I' that's ego. Then remove 'want' that's desire. See now you are left with only 'Happiness'"
