Saw a cross section from the bottom of your Christmas tree trunk before putting it into its stand for decorating. I've never had a real tree, but this is a cool idea.

It'd be cute to take the bottom of each year's tree, put the date on it, and make it an ornament the following years!

Holiday quotes in frames. It would be so cute to do a cluster of these. Definitely necessary to use A Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation quotes too.

so me. I'm doing the tub tree this year.

Annual Xmas Letter idea. Can I just print theirs and send it out in my cards? Oh, wait, I don't do Christmas Cards. Silly me! If I did, this would be the perfect Family letter to include.

Perhaps my christmas tree should be white this year:-)

Katie from Bower Power was looking for a simple and classic centerpiece for her Christmas mantel when she stumbled upon a canvas of Old St. Nick himself in a catalog. She used the grid method she learned in middle school art to sketch the image from the tiny catalog pic onto a piece of painted plywood. Then she filled it all in with a silver paint pen for a  light, shimmery look....LOVE IT!!
