One of many great books by Jodi Picoult which I have on board. Looking forward to acquiring more. She combines matters of the spirit with great stories and I don't know whether men would enjoy reading her - must ask mine to try one :-) Worth Reading, Jodie Picoult, Book Lists, Picoult Books, Heart, Books Club, Books Worth, Changing, Favorite Books

Anyone who has asked me for a book suggestion has heard me go on and on about Jodi Picoult. Yes, one of her books was made into a movie but that is just the tip of her iceberg of talent!!! I love love love all her books and can reread them without getting bored. This particular book was the first one of hers that I read and I was hooked.
In Sterling, New Hampshire, 17-year-old high school student Peter Houghton has endured years of verbal and physical abuse at the hands of classmates. His best friend, Josie Cormier, succumbed to peer pressure and now hangs out with the popular crowd that often instigates the harassment. One final incident of bullying sends Peter over the edge and leads him to commit an act of violence that forever changes the lives of Sterling’s residents.
