Tired of getting eaten alive when you step outside? Instead of lathering yourself with sticky bug spray or hovering near a citronella candle, take a few minutes to whip up this all natural homemade bug repellent. These mason jar luminaries are not only an effective way to repel mosquitos, but they are pretty too. They could easily serve as beautiful centerpieces for your barbecue or backyard party.
Give to try this: Mosquito trap - No more mosquitos!! Cut the top off a 2 liter bottle. Invert the cone and place it inside the bottle. Glue the two pieces together. Add 1 tsp yeast and 1/2 cup sugar to some luke warm water, and pour the mixture into the bottle. Mosquitoes are attracted to the carbon dioxide that you exhale. The yeast feeds off the sugar and emits the same gas, so the mosquito enters the bottle, thinking it will find food then dies!
Keep this in mind if you start seeing lots of spiders around your place. Natural spider killer or preventer... take one cup of vingar, one cup of pepper, a teaspoon of oil and liquid soap. Put it into a spray bottle and spray along the outside of your outside door and along windows; refresh after it rains. - Click image to find more DIY & Crafts Pinterest pins
