Easiest Boiled Eggs - including the easiest way to shell them perfectly - I have been using this method This is a great idea - it should have been shared long ago. I like to make deviled eggs but hate the trouble of getting the shells off nice and having a smooth egg. Well, thanks to you I will be using this method, which I have never heard of and I'm no spring chicken. Thank you so much - now my deviled eggs will look great on the plate. Thanks again.for more years than I care to tell you!

Easiest Boiled Eggs: 1. Place desired amount of eggs in a large pot. Add a dash of baking soda. Cover one inch above the eggs. Bring to a rolling boil on high heat. COVER AND REMOVE FROM HEAT, SET TIMER 15 MINS. Immediately pour off hot water, cover with cold water and add ice. Add ice again when it melts. When water is icy cold , pour off water. Peel eggs. Deviled Egg tip: make your favorite yolk recipe in a quart size freezer bag, clipping the corner and pipe into the boiled egg halves.

This doesn't work. The best way, really is (1) older eggs, or (2) after cooking, crack them a bit and let them sit in cold water for 10 minutes or so. Try and make sure the little membrane is a bit broken. The water will seep between the membrane/shell and egg and they will peel easily. I didn't believe it would work, but it does! yay!
