1 cups skim milk cup rinsed quinoa 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup Pinch of ground cinnamon cup fresh raspberries Sliced banana Bring milk and quinoa to a boil in a small saucepan. Simmer, covered, until most of the milk is absorbed (about 14 min).
Black Quinoa with Avocado, Almonds and Honey for breakfast. Black quinoa (like red) has a firmer texture than the white variety, and makes a great alternative to breakfast cereal. Soft avocado provides a great contrast.
