There are people who can help, who want to hear what you and your friend have to say. Self-harming is destructive and stops people dealing with their pain. There are better ways to deal with the way you feel, and the first step is to reach out and talk to someone and see the future you have ahead.
This is going to be the rules that my kids have while growing up. Know that you are loved. Dream big. Say I love you. Listen to your parents. Try new things. Speak kindly of others. Work hard. Share. Giggle and laugh. Keep your promises. Sing, laugh, dance. Do your best. Clean up after yourself. No whining. Say your prayers.
