Beautiful Ring Nebula - the remnants of a red giant star in its death throes to becoming a White Drawf - 9/19/2012 - live on Slooh

Slooh member DaveL captured a cool shot of the Trifid Nebula (M20) in constellation Sagittarius using Canary observatory 20" telescope. Considering it was very low at the time of the mission, it came out very well.

Slooh will be launching a pilot FITS file program allowing Slooh members to further enhance their images. We have given members an opportunity to practice by working on files from previous missions. Here is an example of M42 - Orion Nebula - created by a Slooh member using the FITS!

Orion Nebula - with Paul Cox on 10/21/2012 -- So cool to see even with a small 4" scope. Amazing to think stars are born here.
