    Crock Pot Rotisserie Style Chicken

    8 hrs to make • Serves 1


    4 Garlic cloves, whole
    1 tsp Onion powder
    1/2 tsp Thyme, dried
    1 Yellow onion

    Baking & Spices

    1/2 tsp Black pepper
    1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper
    1 tsp Italian seasoning
    3 tsp Kosher salt
    1 tsp Paprika, smoked


    1 (4 -5 lb) whole roasting chickens

      Crockpot Rotisserie Style Chicken: 4-5 lb roasting chicken, 2-3 tsp salt, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp dried thyme, 1 tsp Italian seasoning, 1/2 tsp pepper, 4 garlic cloves & 1 yellow onion, quartered (optional)...Spray a 5qt or larger crockpot or use cooking bag. Mix all dry ingredients & rub them all over chicken, inside & out, and put in crockpot, breast side down. If desired, put onion & garlic inside chicken cavity. DO NOT ADD ANY WATER. Cook 4-5 hrs on high or 8 hours on low.

    Going to try this but modified. I don't have Herbs De Provence so I'm not sure what I will rub it with. I don't have red peppers so I'll layer the bottom with onion and carrots and stuff the bird with apples, carrots and onion. We'll see how it tastes.

    Delicious Crock-pot Lasagna: yum. I used a big tub of Ricotta mixed with 2c mozz and 1/2ish parm (red pepper and oregano). I used 2lbs beef with diced onion and a packet Italian dressing mix. I used 2 cans sauce and would have added more but crock pot was full to the top. I used 3/4 box of noodles. Easy. Tastes just like oven baked. Oh, and 1/2c mozz on top with more parm.

    How To Make Your Own Rotisserie Chicken-- 6/16--tried this, actually used this recipe www.ourbestbites.... but the result is the same I think...chicken tasted great but did not get browned...definitely reccomend bestbites suggestion to put foil balls under the bird otherwise it's just boiled chicken I started with a frozen solid 5lb bird cooked on high for a few hours and then finished on low

    Crock Pot Angel Chicken – Combine Italian dressing mix, cream cheese, butter, soup & broth. Pour over chicken. It turned out great. It was very flavorful & a breeze to make. Dump everything into the crockpot & boil some water for the pasta when you get home from work & voila! Dinner in 10 minutes!
