Soon, I'll be seeing this in person! #SalvadorDali "Persistence of Memory" by surrealist painter Salvador Dali. ••••• The soft watches are an unconscious symbol of the relativity of space and time. Dali was incorporating an understanding of the world introduced by Albert Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity.

Artist: Salvador Dali Median:Oil on canvas Date:1931 I chose Salvador Dali's The Persistence of Memory for one my pins because it is extremely unique. This painting is very interesting because its simple, bizarre, and draws the viewer in. Finally, I really enjoyed that Dali painted each individual clock differently.

THE PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY SALVADOR DALI The Persistence of Memory (Spanish: La persistencia de la memoria; Catalan: La persistència de la memòria) is a 1931 painting by artist Salvador Dalí, and is one of his most recognizable works. The painting has been in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City since 1934.I have seen this piece in person. It's very small, for it's impact!

V: Here is my favorite painting created by my favorite artist, Salvador Dali. I stole this painting from the Norsefire storage facility. Dali was a surrealist painter warping and dismantling the conventional notions of artistic expression, an anarchist of illustration.
