Rug has nice subtle pattern, appreciating the tonal grays matched with the warm woods for an organic pop of color that works.
I must admit I love chintz and feel more comfortable nestled in this type of room than something minimal. That being said, my husband and I have sage green on ivory toile curtains and an understated complementary bedspread. One must compromise.....alas!
A small guest or girl's room gets a dramatic treatment with paisley "headboards" topped by homemade valences created by drilling plywood with different-size bits. An arrangement of flea market mirrors and a painting fills the empty wall space between the beds with flair. (Photo: Megan Thompson)
Love when rooms have one wall that is painted to be a focal point and brighten the room. But not sure I'd be brave enough to paint pink and white polka dots on my walls.
Vibrant and Fun Splashes of bright pink create a decidedly feminine vibe in this master bedroom. A group of four floral prints provide a bold focal point and contribute to the infusion of magenta throughout the space. A built-in dresser transforms a potentially unused corner into a convenient vanity area. Pretty and casual.
