Lucern, Switzerland is where you can find one of the oldest wooden bridges in all of Europe, the Chapel Bridge. Built in 1333 this wooden bridge stretches across the Reuss river, and inside it has various paintings depicting scenes from Swiss history.
Lucerne is built on the shores of a crystal lake with the Alps rising in the background. Its views of the Alps have made it a popular tourist destination. Explore the famous Mill Bridge on a walking tour through the old town, shop, or just enjoy a cup of coffee and take in the view. Lucerne is Swiss hospitality at its best in a scenic setting. The Kaiserslautern USO has a tour to Lucerne Saturday, February 9th. Stop by any USO office to sign up. (Photo by Roger Wollstadt)
