    How Many Days! Use 18 Ten Frames to count the days of school.

    After reading Seuss's Apples Up On Top, have students create their name apples on top of their first day photo. If you use 3 different colors you can teach an ABCABC pattern, as well as that science fact. There's also a graphing extension for how many letters students have in their name. FREE templates.

    Kissing Hand: Thinking about extending this into an introduction of character traits, actions, and motivations for 1st day of school...hmmm...will have to mull that over...

    "Chrysanthemum" Back to School Activities. This is a good activity for students to do in the beginning of the year because they get to start learning counting and learn each others names.
