Foldable idea for root words, This would also be great for describing - label the center and write - function, category, location, what other words go with it and put the answers under the flaps. Artic too - sound in the middle words on the flap and phrase or sentence under the flap!

Picture book covers with target words underneath. LOVE this idea. One could have students make tally marks next to each word as they encounter them in other texts or use them when talking. LOVE.
