Jonathan Gregory Brandis (Apr 13, 1976 – Nov 12, 2003) - an American actor, director & screenwriter. As a child model, he moved on to acting in commercials & subsequently won tv & film roles. At 17, he landed his best-known role, as Lucas Wolenczak, a teen prodigy on the NBC series seaQuest DSV. In November 2003, Brandis died of injuries he sustained after hanging himself at the age of 27.
