Finally doing it. Last night I started "detoxing" my hair from all commercial hair products (shampoo, conditioner etc..) Using baking soda and Raw apple cider vinager! This method helps balance out your ph levels and makes your scalp and hair so healthy, helps with ALL hair type and color treated hair too! After my first use last night, I am so happy. Not only is this much healthier it's a HUGE money saver. :-) Survival Tips, Wet Hair, Homemade Shampoos, Clean, Apples Cider Vinegar, Baking Sodas, Bathroom Sinks, Hair Care, Shampoos And Conditioner

Great shampoo recipes! The first few have some weird ingredients. Scroll down for the "normal" ingredient mixes. I am definitely doing the dry hair shampoo. And, there is a recipe for a shampoo for blondes!
Homemade Shampoo: Easiest = 1 T. Baking Soda + 1 C. Water Other = 1 gallon of brewed tea or water 1/2 cup baking soda 3 tsp xanthan gum (Walmart baking aisle) 1/4 cup castile soap 30 drops essential oil
Tried 1 tablespoon baking soda with some drops of tea tree essential oil, then added 1 cup warm water, poured some in hair, massaged it all over scalp, left in about 1 minute, then rinsed out. Hair and scalp felt great after the first use.
