Being a victim is not who I am. When I stand up for myself, my rights, my role...that is not playing the victim. What that is called is being ASSERTIVE. Not passive aggresive or aggresive. But people who don't like to be called out for their bad behavior will call you a victim when you assert yourself. That makes them the ones who are passive aggressive.

Oh goodness. I need to really think about this. I don't want that "friend" in my life but I 100% realize it will mean me going out on a limb. I am starting to feel that I am ok with the limb breaking to not have to deal with her.

I believe in curiosity. During college students will be exposed to many types of diversity. I believe student affairs professionals should provide students opportunities to learn about these experiences. If students are informed they may not be as judgmental. Students may not love the diversity of others but they should be able to accept the diversity of others.
