Iannis Xenakis - my favorite 20th century art music (classical music) composer. I was most fortunate to be able to study his music intensely and even study with him. If you don't know his music, you should listen to (receive) Metastasis, Pithoprakta and more, and in a very quiet place (never while driving). And his book, "Formalized Music" is amazing (although it can be a difficult read for many).
