Time Out Jar. It is really easy to make. The goal is that when they are feeling out of control, they shake the jar, then sit and watch the glitter settle in the water. When the glitter settles, they can get up. This one is a really great technique to use in lieu of timeout. Will do this with my lovely children. :)

Time out/calm down bottles- original source. If child is too excited or angry or agitated, give them their bottle. They shake it up really well & sit somewhere quiet. Once the glitter is all settled (~5 mins) their time is up. If they try to mess with the bottle, it will only make their time out longer.
