    Beauty the bald eagle lost her beak by a gunshot in Alaska. It took a dedicated biologist, dentist and an aerospace engineer to create a lifelike, titanium beak that allows the eagle to drink and grasp food. Today the revived Beauty is ''an example of the cruelty and compassion of mankind'', the rescue center writes on its website.
