DIY Paper CLAY Bowls:  Paper clay is my new papier-mâché. It is the same idea — paper infused with some sort of stiffener — but paper clay looks as if it is ceramic, with the strength of papier-mâché. The best part is its beautiful white color once it is dry — great for so many summer-inspired projects.

This is a very good paper mache clay. It holds lots of details and is very strong when dry. I've used this clay in silicone molds and dried them in a microwave using 2 minutes intervals. I can complete small 3 inch pieces in about 10 minutes.

Fast and Easy Paper Mache Recipe :: Paper Mache is real easy to make. You simply mix equal parts of flour and water then add some salt and stir it up. I usually make a batch that has two cups of flour, two cups of water and 1 tablespoon of salt and mix it up. It makes enough for a nice pinata.  Newspaper is the usual paper I use, but other papers give different textures.
