Cute idea for making inferences. What student wouldn't love to know what's inside the teacher's bag?! This can definitely be modified in a variety of other ways... For instance- place items that relate to a story character. You could probably get creative with nonfiction too.

These write and wipe cards will help your students learn and practice writing contractions. Just print back to back and laminate, or put in dry erase pockets. Students use dry erase markers to write the contractions on the front of the card. Crossing out the unused letters first will help them remember the letters they no longer need. Then, they turn the card over to check their work. Once students are finished, they erase the cards, so they are ready for the next eager learner.
