St Louis Arch been there.. Both as a child when a train line came down the middle of the river frontage street ( was shortly after it was finished) and now as the area is more like a park and touristy....

Also in St. Louis is the famous archway. This gateway to the west can actually be scaled! Tiny pods take small groups slowly up to the observation deck where you can look out into the city through tiny windows. It also boasts a museum below.
