      word family eggs. I've seen another post that uses plastic eggs for letter matching/recognition. The upper case letter is on one part while the lowercase is on the other part.

      Word Identification 1: Word Family Eggs. You will need plastic easter eggs and a sharpie or label maker. Label the left half of the egg with different letters and the right side of the egg with 1 affix. Have the child rotate the affix side to see what words they can come up with.

      word families Great tool for teaching children about similar sounds, rhyming words, and even sight words. Could be used in almost any subject, but I really like the language arts version. -Lindsey Rick 2-14-13

      WORD FAMILY EGGS! While those plastic eggs are in the store, I'd stock up on them because there are so many things you can use them for throughout the year. The word family eggs are so clever! Just use white sticky labels and cut them into squares like the picture shows.
