Stairs in Melk Abbey (or Stift Melk), an Austrian Benedictine abbey, and one of the world's most famous monastic sites. It is located above the town of Melk on a rocky outcrop overlooking the river Danube in Lower Austria, adjoining the Wachau valley.
One of the spiral staircases in Seaton Delaval Hall near Newcastle. Bought by the National Trust in 2009, much work remains to be done. The main part of the Hall was severely damaged by fire in 1822 and remains only as a shell.
