On Aug. 15, Julia Child would have been 100 years old; we shared that birthday and, once, even a corner of a restaurant.

Happy 100th Birthday to the infamous Julia Child... I loved watching her every Saturday morning as a child and, later reading her book "My life in France" such a sweet life.

Julia Child - A large woman with a huge sense of humor, who took a little cooking class in middle age and bloomed into an artist with mad ninja skills. She brought classic French cooking to a generation of timid and intimidated American cooks, and went on from there. She loved the work, loved to seduce beginners into learning, and was not distraught over her own mistakes. [Pick it up off the floor and go forward!] Here, she begins the glorification of a humble chicken.

Julia Child. I loved her personality. She didn't take herself too seriously and she was very witty. Always happy!
