As a child I didn't like Julia Child, as an adult I admire what she accomplished and her spirit and love for cooking. This is a wonderful picture of her. This image is from a nice post by Dorie Greenspan
Julia Child - A large woman with a huge sense of humor, who took a little cooking class in middle age and bloomed into an artist with mad ninja skills. She brought classic French cooking to a generation of timid and intimidated American cooks, and went on from there. She loved the work, loved to seduce beginners into learning, and was not distraught over her own mistakes. [Pick it up off the floor and go forward!] Here, she begins the glorification of a humble chicken.
