Annette Kellerman promoted women’s right to wear a fitted one-piece bathing suit, 1907. She was arrested for indecency. She's also a rather curvy gal and seemingly proud of it.

While the man in this 1920s photograph already wears a modern outfit, the woman is still dressed in a german traditional costume.
