The Chosin Reservoir Campaign was one of the harshest battles during the war, and some have argued that it was one of the most brutal in US military history. The causality rate was so high that those who made it out alive were considered “The Chosin Few.” I could only imagine the stories and memories your uncle has of it! There is a great documentary about the campaign narrated and told entirely by Chosin veterans called “Chosin.” I highly recommend it.
