Half door instead of those U-G-L-Y baby gates. Or, in my house, used as dog gates. :)

Half Door Tutorial. I would like these for our kids's rooms. Room time would be a bit more visible. Also, individual play time in there wouldn't be as secluded... I could still see the older ones playing with toys not for little ones, while keeping little ones out... Christina Heddell

LOVE!! barn door baby gate or pet gate!! Our pets and baby have outgrown the Dutch door we made at our house, but now it serves as a noise block from the AC/heater, without blocking to much air for the return. We made ours from a core door cut in 1/2 with a shelf on top. I like this one better.

Genius! half door for any baby/kids room so you can hear if they wake, but they can't wander the house alone or play in their room while u cook, shower, clean.

Brilliant!! create something like this as an alternative to the ugly plastic baby gates. Love it!

What a great idea --- wish I had thought of it when the girls were little! But, will remember this when we bring a new puppy into the house!

I Love these French doors in the bedroom. I'd like to have French doors onto a small balcony with stairs down to the back yard.

dutch door baby gate=using a door we found at a garage sale for $5. He cut the door in half, installed the first half at the bottom of the stairs and used the other half at the top of the stairs AMAZING IDEA! less wear and tear on the wall than pressure gates! cut it higher to limit access as baby grows! (or dogs jumping over!)
