The owners of this South Carolina home wanted a welcoming entry and loved the idea of keeping their front door open to enjoy the breeze while still keeping bugs at bay. The answer: sliding screened doors hung just inside the foyer, instead of outside the front entrance. Plus, the doors keep the entry and surrounding area open because there is no door swing.
Always wondered how to make this work without taking up a TON of wall space. Notice how the closet door frame is actually inside the windows of the barn doors? The doors are way wider than the closet door frame, so they can be wide and yet don't need to move as far to open fully.
