Double decker rabbit hutch (2'X3' each cage) I built over the winter for our flemishX meat rabbits. Roof collects water into a trashcan turned rainbarrel, middle gutter collects manure to be put directly onto the garden, bottom will eventually house nightcrawlers. Permanent nestboxes w/ removeable bottoms to come before winter.

In this green-roofed rabbit hutch, the alfalfa hay bedding and droppings of two fluffy Angora rabbits are collected for fertilizer, and their owner gathers and spins their fur into yarn. The hutch's sedum-covered roof absorbs rainwater. | Photo: Mike Jensen | thisoldhouse.com
