This is a hard book to get into, but it was for me the start of the trend to understand the psychologically disturbed criminal mind. Overall just a profound book.

This is a hard book to get into, but some of the themes have stayed with me for years. I still think about this book often and the dilemma's that the main character deals with. Overall just a profound book.

Ready Player One is a love letter adventure to the '80s. It plays out like Enders Game, and has great fun with itself.

As sappy as this book was I truly enjoyed reading this. Reminded me of "It's a Wonderful Life," but in book form. Puts things in perspective.

    My philosophical underpinnings

Middlesex was quite an interesting book. The reason I'm adding this to my list is that the concept of this book made an impact. I remember some of the enduring images, which Jeffrey Eugenides painted for the reader. A young child was born as a girl and boy, and the parents had to make the decision of which gender she or he should become. What a concept for a book!

O.k. so I didn't think I would like this tween sensation, but it reminded me of the movie Battle Royal. Maybe not as violent as the movie, but there's definitely some violence going on. Really quick read and overall enjoyable.

This poignant, and often upsetting, book by Viktor Frankl makes one realize how human's survive through horrible catastrophes.

    Wonderful book, well written, historical.

The Stand by Stephen King. I am not a Stephen King fan really, but I did love this book.
