Go camping. Pitch a tent, catch some game, make a bonfire, toast some S'mores and instead of working yourself into a nervous frenzy, wait until the time is right to get down on one knee and seal the deal.

and this is why you camp.

Love this, except Kassi would be the one playin' Guitar around the campfire. She's a little Taylor swift. She's got talent for sure. Takes after her Godpapa. Callie Rowton

Fire on a Chilly Evening--so many times the we have wanted to have a bonfire, only it wouldn't light because the wood was wet--I'm thinking it's a good idea to keep a metal tub filled with wood in the shed for this purpose!

Using our dutch oven we made our dinner but it had to simmer. In the mean time we got out our roasting sticks and did a few marshmallows over the fire.

The shallow Depth of Field adds a lot to this photo by really emphasizing the flames of the fire. Because this picture wasn't taken at night, the contrast of the fire against the background is diminished and the flames/smoke would easily get lost or overlooked if the entire image was in sharp focus, by blurring the background the flames are able to stand out exquisitely.

campingSarah Kyles can i just tag in you in all the pictures i want to do.. i love the pinecone..not the bottom one lol but we are just going to have loads of fun!

Sometimes you don't need all the fancy equipment to commune with nature. Try using just the basics and really enjoy the simplicity of it all.
