It is very important to go out alone, to sit under a tree—not with a book, not with a companion, but by yourself—and observe the falling of a leaf, hear the lapping of the water, the fishermen’s song, watch the flight of a bird, and of your own thoughts as they chase each other across the space of your mind. If you are able to be alone and watch these things, then you will discover extraordinary riches which no human agency can corrupt, and which can never be destroyed ~ author unknown -

reflection in teary eye. ugh so many people draw eyes because they are "a window to the soul" but this person did it differently- better too. a different angle, and sharp contrast are the major differences. most people draw forward facing eyes and they become boring after a while. this person took a risk and nailed it! love it

This poem is engrained in my brain and the violet eyes are Izzy's. the face of life that rescued me is Regan's. It is not possible that only 52 weeks ago I could look at both of their sleeping faces, and while I was never so tired in my life it was the most amazing time I will ever have. Missing her so very, very much. <\3
