So, you could easily do this but instead of doing onomatopoeia words, you could use words from scripture that are powerful or important- or do attributes of God. Or maybe the beatitudes?

Superhero onomatopoeia...September always has a school-wide focus on heroes at my school (in remembrance of 9/11). I'm thinking about doing a superhero theme for this bulletin board...something along the lines of "Real Life Superheros" where their costumes involve firefighter/police/nurse/etc. attire.

ONOMATOPOEIA WORD PROJECT~ Students create their own onomatopoeia art to learn about this fun skill. Blog post has good ideas that can be adapted for different levels and instructional duration.

Love this project. Would be great to integrate ELA and Art. Wonder if our art teachers would help with this project? Need to ask.

Onomatopoeia Art: We started by talking about what onomatopoeia are, then we spend some time looking at some comic books, and some artwork by Litchenstein, Next, I showed the class a short video from the original Batman movie, and had them call out the onomatopoeias that flashed on the screen.

OMG- yesss!!! (Then display the artwork at the restaurant!!) Excited to let the patrons see my babies' mad skills!! Sombreros- Cinco De Mayo

Draw pumpkin, grass in pencil. Trace all lines with glue. Next art class glue will be dry. Watercolor page with splotchy painting. When dry, trace over glue lines and splotches with sharpie.
