Charlotte's Web, my favorite book. Signed it out of the library so many times the librarian gave it to me.
My absolute favorite childhood book! This is a classic book that allows children to see the true meaning of friendship.
Happy 115th birthday to E.B. White! During his life, White wrote some of best known children’s books of the past century, such as Charlotte’s Web, Stuart Little, and The Trumpet of the Swan. He captured the imagination of children everywhere with his talking animals, while at the same time teaching them important lessons, like the value of friendship.

Desiderata para la sección de libros infantiles en inglés: "The Library". Elizabeth Brown doesn't like to play with dolls and she doesnt like to skate. What she does like to do is read books. Lots of books. The only problem is that her library has gotten so big she can't even use her front door anymore. What should Elizabeth Brown do? Start her own public library, of course!
Elizabeth Brown doesn't like to play with dolls, and she doesn't like to skate. What she does like to do is read books. Lots of them, all the time. Over the years her book collection grows to such enormous proportions that Elizabeth Brown cannot fit one more volume into her house. But this dilemma is nothing our heroine can't overcome, and a splendid solution is promised.

Determined to play Peter Pan in the school play, African-American Grace meets opposition in her classmates, who insist that Peter Pan is a boy and white.
A lovely series that shows kids you can be anything! "Princess Grace" is perhaps even better, showing girls that dressing up in a ballgown is not what's important - but you can still admire historical princesses. The best part is that this is one of the few books featuring an African-American main character that doesn't solely focus on being black.

HISTORICAL FICTION. This book is about a young girl who lives on a plantation and comes across a fox, fearlessly. It is a great book to read to your students of any age. But if you used it with older kids, you could read this while studying black history. They could write the story from the fox's point of view for creative writing. They could draw their favorite illustration from the book.
My very favorite book as a kid. My 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Sanders would read in all kinds of voices, and I loved it. My favorite was Big Mama. =)
"Flossie and the Fox" - Patricia McKissack (1986, Picture Books) Love, love, loved this book. The read aloud version is superb, too. Laughed SO hard.
