      How to clean the hair spray and gunk off your hair straightener (and curling iron too) The “recipe”: I put about 1/4 cup of baking soda in a small glass bowl and squirt in hydrogen peroxide until it makes a nice paste. Then I rub it on the offending dirt/stain/grease…whatever! I usually just use my fingers…but I also use a small sponge at times as well.

      How to clean your flat iron and curling irons. "miracle cleaner". :-) I made my usual paste of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide and started rubbing it in with my fingers. It immediately took all but the thickest parts of gunk off with hardly any effort at all. You can see from the pictures how the paste becomes discolored as it starts to "soak up" the dirt. It took some "elbow grease" to get the tough spots off...but eventually I did.

    Mix hydrogen peroxide and baking soda into a paste then take a paper towel (or your fingers) and rub gently on the appliance where it needs it. Finish it off by wetting a paper towel with a LITTLE bit of water and wiping it off
