CHAMPS Morning Procedures anchor chart: Come into room quietly; Homework turned in; All class materials on desk; Meeting classroom expectations; Paying attention to speaker; Sharing our thoughts and opinions respectfully!

Students have to write in a log every time they do not turn in their homework on time and explain themselves. This helps teachers keep track of how many times the same student does not do his/her homework, makes students think about why they did not do their homework, and establishes accountability.

Beginning of school. This would even work in middle school. My kids love the David books (yes, I take them from my 6-year-old to share with my 8th graders!).
