Organizing Weekly Lesson Materials better than folders? I would replace "Next Week" with extra work to do. As a substitute I always hated when I got through lesson plans that were too short and was left with no extra work to do with the students.

This "I'm done..." board is a great way to remind students of their choices once they have completed the current activity. By having this posted as a bulletin board or poster within the room, students would have a visual reminder of the acceptable options they have while awaiting transition to the next activity. This procedure would help maintain order as well as keep faster students busy.

worksheets & materials for each day's lesson. I have a folder for each subject for every day of the week.

Love this! I have seen these sayings before, but I really like how simple this one is. Might be better suited to a younger classroom then some of the longer sayings. I also like the design...how cute :)

Maybe for the bookshelf area you're wanting to do in your room? Would be a great way to organize your school supplies & books! Perhaps even put a wipe off calendar in place of the 4 boards?

Good way to organize pencils: Sharp and Please Sharpen. :)

uh... YES! Why didn't I think of this? I am so doing this so students know where to line up and they don't run/fight/push.

Organize your copies for the week. When I first saw this, I thought it looked like the Harry Potter font. So...I think I want to write the days of the week in that font. Either that or paint the set to look like the TARDIS.

A Rockin' Good Time: a rock unit (anchor chart and writing activity). This would be a great way to show the different sizes and states of rocks. It would be very easy to make as well. One thing that I see wrong with it is I would find drawings of the different rocks so that the students could see them.

First Week Of School Activities... I like the idea of classmates interviewing each other. I don't think I would do this on the FIRST day... but maybe later in the week.

Cool Bulletin Board idea to "spotlight" a student or famous person. I would do both. Maybe every week a different actor, playwright, designer, etc to research to extra credit or a weekly report, and every now and then a student, to make them feel special having been up on the same wall as a big name.

make your parent handbook stand out. put a magnet strip on the back for easy fridge sticking.
