  • Katie Mey

    Lee Gainer, magazine art!

  • Jasmine Stromatt

junk mail art by lee gainer. Lee Gainer’s work is organic in it’s appearance, like a field of flowers, but created from many bits of man-made materials. Each took just over a month to build. Pieces contain a variety of recycled - upcycled - materials such as fabric, paper, felt, foil, caps, carpet, metal, plastic, styrafoam, dried paint, beads, padding and cardboard, that have been hand-rolled into circles and swirls. Beautiful way to turn ordinary everyday objects into art.

Rolled paper wall art. Such an interesting piece! you can make with your kids. I’m constantly amazed by artists who re-use common materials to create beautiful works of art. We are having a long holiday week ahead with public holidays next Tuesday to Thursday for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri (Eid ul-Fitr) and National Day celebrations.
