Born in 1864, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec is one of the most respected French painters of the post-impressionist period. He illustrated the colorful and whimsical life of Paris, often compared to his contemporaries, Cezanne, Van Gogh, and Gauguin. He was prolific, despite his devotion to cocktails. His compelling and romantic scenes of the theatrical life make him famous.
