Seared Red Chard

Vegan • Gluten free • Paleo • 18 mins to make • Serves 6


10 cups Chard, red
1 Red onion, small

Baking & Spices

1 Nutmeg, Grated
1 Salt and pepper, Coarse

Oils & Vinegars

2 tbsp Olive oil, extra-virgin
2 tbsp Red wine or cider vinegar

This is sooo good, I use brown rice. The bacon's not so good for you, but you can cut that back or use turkey bacon to make it a little healthier.

After a mild rinse, store chard in moistened paper towels in a plastic bag (with a few pinholes to allow air to circulate) in the refrigerator for two or three days." Note: we rinse ours with a few drops of vinegar & water.
