“The armoire is by Studio Job for the company Moooi, which is based in the Netherlands. It’s hand painted in a neo-gothic esthetic but what I love most is all the bright color—it’s like a piece of art, probably my favorite piece we own.” http://www.thecoveteur.com/erika-cohen-alchemist-miami/
"Apart from staying true to yourself, I think it’s important as a young designer to have an aesthetic, so that you stand out from others. Stick to your aesthetic and always have a business plan. That was what my father taught me, always have a business plan, so those are two pieces of advice I would put forward to other designers."
“I’m an anal packer. I get it from my dad. I develop a theme and color palette. I start with my feet so that I don’t pack too many shoes. I’ll just be like, the climate is this and a city, then it’s probably going to be a lot of black and nude. I layer a lot on the plane because I get cold. This way, even if I looked horrible on the plane, I’ll have a lighter jacket under a heavier jacket. Then I always have my pashmina with me.”
