Repin if you love the sound your pointe shoes make when you release into a second!!comment what kind you have!

[Favorite city] "Paris is a dream."

"I started working professionally when I was just sixteen. My first performance with New York City Ballet will always stand out [in my mind]. I was so excited but terrified. I'll never forget how exhilarating it was. I also loved performing overseas. The Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg is just magnificent and was such a powerful moment onstage."

“Ballet Beautiful is my favorite exercise class, because you don’t sweat so you can go straight into your meeting after. And the outfit is cute so you can run around in your ballet outfit all day after.” www.thecoveteur.c...

Please enroll your skater into a dance company! Dace (especially ballet) is extremely helpful to skaters, they have very similar techniques and it will really help with artistry, flexibility, and strength. It is also a fun sport to do aside from skating!

“I adore Tolstoy. War and Peace is a favorite along with the tragic Anna Karenina."

“[On the wardrobe malfunction front], thankfully nothing too memorable! The worst thing is if a ribbon or elastic snaps on your shoes!”

“[My training while at the New York City Ballet] was pretty grueling. As a professional ballerina you simply live and breath ballet—there is literally no time for anything else! My day would begin at about 9am in the theatre with stretching out and prepping shoes and wrap around 10 or 11pm after a performance with non stop dancing in between, from morning class to a day full of rehearsals and the show at night."

En Pointe. (I have a lot of dreams where I'm doing this. And flying. Not at the same time. Totally normal, right?)
