Finally getting our advent calendar up - we used the printable by and made our own activities to go with it - all about spending time together 🎄⛄️ excited to see if julia is up for this ;
Easter Literacy and Math Printables - Kindergarten - "Four places I would hide Easter eggs.
Winter Math and Literacy Packet (Kindergarten)!
Draw a line from left to right - (printable by this was a first…
Smiley shapes clip cards - this was a great activity using an easy and fun theme with a challenging skill - julia could match the colours and shapes with no problem and needs a lot of practice using the clips - great fine motor skills. I found these awesome free printables from @modernpreschool and laminated as i think we will use them again ;)
On monday we had a 6 hour flight from Miami, Julia is usually really into her ipad (its the only occasion she gets unlimited viewing) but somehow this time she was not into it, luckily i prepared a few activities to do on the plane, stickers, play dough, magic ink pads, and this easy shape matching activity - so easy to prep, pack and guaranteed a few minutes of concentration ✈️ this and other amazing free printables by @mrprintables #inflighttoddleractivity
Name Kits: Tools for Teaching Young Children Their Names
Name Kits for Preschool and Kindergarten - simple but meaningful way for teaching young children about their names and other early literacy concepts or sight word kit
Potatoes' stamping (for tiny hands) - using tempera paint and small potatoes cut on one side, we love experimenting with different tools and these small potatoes were so fun 🐠 i used a fish print but have the feeling an empty piece of paper would've been as fun.
Easiest christmas tree activity - J practiced with our circle puncher and then glued all the colourful 'ornaments' onto the tree 🎄
alphabet clothespins for preschoolers - sight words
Musica Dona aranha
Elmer invitation to play - thanks to for this easy prep fun idea 🐘 see next post for details
Tracing activities - i always keep a few in hand, great for or to keep her busy at home, this veggie printable is from and she loved it - great for developing fine motor skills ;
Sticker stencils - i got this clever and fun idea from @cintaandco - after using up all the rabbit stickers, i peeled off the sticker sheet from its backing and sticked it onto a piece of white paper. Then i told julia she could paint inside and around the sticker stencils, she could match the colours or not 🎨 (see next post for how it turned out)
Sticky pompom elmer - see previous post - i traced elmer onto a piece of contact paper and placed it as an invitation to stick the pompons and create a colourful elmer 🐘
Excited to try a little craft activity i saw on - all you need is coloured construction paper and straws (i used ikea's), string (i used bakery twine), scissors, hole puncher (i used round) and a circle paper punch - see next post for more details 🎨
